Armadale, a former fisherman's cottage dating back 200 years, has been extensively renovated whilst still retaining traditional features including original granite walls, wooden beams, sash windows and stable doors giving access to the sea air just a stones throw away. Ideal for a beach holiday in Mousehole and for visiting the beautiful surrounding area of West Cornwall.
The cottage is so close to the sea, you can smell the familiar scent of salt in the air that greets you upon arrival. If you turn right or left the sandy beaches are just a short stroll. The location is ideal to pop back to for sandwiches, drinks or just to get cleaned off from a day at the beach. The harbour beaches are sheltered and safe - kids love it!
Entering the property at street level through the small porch, the former net loft has been transformed into a dining kitchen with exposed granite wall, solid oak floor with underfloor heating, quality kitchen units, solid oak worksurface and belfast sink. A TV with DVD and iPod dock, an integrated Smeg dishwasher, integrated washer/dryer, integrated fridge, microwave and oven with touch control hob are all here to make your holiday experience effortless and relaxed.
Next to the kitchen is the first of two shower rooms with luxury six foot shower, sink, WC, heated towel rail and underfloor heating.
The stairs from the kitchen, with inset LED lights, lead up to the open plan lounge with exposed granite wall, beamed ceiling and the original wooden floor. The lounge has two Laura Ashley sofas, smart TV with freeview, DVD player, Playstation and Bose iPod dock. There are a selection of DVD's, games, cards, Playstation games and books for your use. A cast iron electric stove heater and storage heater keep the cottage cosy on cool evenings.
Carpeted stairs lead to the two bedrooms and second shower room. The front bedroom, with stunning views out to sea and across Mounts Bay, has a king size bed, wardrobe and storage with original exposed floorboards and exposed roof beams. High level porthole windows separate it from the second bedroom, equipped with twin beds and drawers for ample storage, with views over the rooftops of Mousehole. Both bedrooms have electric panel heaters.
Adjacent the bedrooms is the second shower room with shower, sink and a further WC, ensuring practicality for all guests.
